Thorny Point Infinity Swimming Pool Project

A beautiful infinity edge swimming pool and spa built in Stafford County.  Due to the restrictions to the water we constructed the pool between the home and the newly renovated pool house.  Between the two structures there was a 3' difference in grade.  

How do we address making the pool level and make it work in the confined space?  

The Pool Company Construction designed not only a solution but gave them a water feature like no other.  Most of the time an infinity pool is on a sloop of the yard and the cascading water is never taken advantage of. The owner now walks out of their home and first thing they see is a beautiful waterfall. At night, the catch pool is equipped with glo-brite lights that not only light up the catch pool it also lights up the weir wall. 

The pool also is equipped with an automatic pool cover. The spa also has its own automatic pool cover.  Because the pool cover exceeds the county safety requirements, it can be used in lieu of a fence.  Not having a fence opened up the view of the river and only enhances the beauty of the swimming pool and spa.  Automatic pool covers help retain the heat in the pool, reduces chemical usage, reduces evaporation, and helps keep the pool cleaner. 

The pool also has a Tahoe Blue Diamond Brite Quartz finish (http://sgm.com), tanning shelf, and a bench that runs the length of the pool. The patio is travertine on concrete base. Travertine patio not only looks like a million dollars, it's also stays 5 degrees cooler than other types of pool decks.  That's a huge benefit during the heat of the summer. The pool coping, stone, and travertine patio all were purchased locally at the Stone Center, https://www.stonecenterofva.com.
