Custom Inground Pool Builders in Spotsylvania, VA

Get a Luxury Swimming Pool In Your Backyard.

Body

A new pool should fit the way you want to use your backyard. The Pool Company Construction designs and builds custom concrete inground swimming pools for homeowners in Spotsylvania County. Start with your property, your priorities and the outdoor space you want to keep—not a promise that one layout will suit every yard.

We have been building concrete pools in Virginia since 2008 and hold Virginia Class A Contractor License #2705132419. Our office is in Fredericksburg; this page describes our Spotsylvania service area, not a separate Spotsylvania office.

Natural Stone: a completed Spotsylvania-area pool

The Natural Stone Swimming Pool project is identified in our portfolio as a Spotsylvania-area installation. Its original photographs show a curved pool surrounded by stonework, planting beds and spaces for sitting beside the water.

Seating and shade are part of the pool plan

The published project account describes an enlarged step area with an umbrella for shade and additional seating in the water. The photographs show the shaded entry area alongside the surrounding patio. It is a useful example to review if your priorities include relaxing in the water as well as swimming.

Connect the water with the rest of the backyard

Natural stone and planting beds frame the pool, while outdoor seating gives people places to gather outside the water. The project account credits Greensward Landscaping with the pavilion and outdoor fireplace above the pool. We identify that contribution so the finished setting is not presented as the pool company's work alone.

For your own Spotsylvania property, discuss the entry, usable swimming area, shade, patio furniture and route from the house together. The photographs illustrate one completed backyard; they do not establish the conditions, approvals or construction scope for another property.

View all original Natural Stone project photographs, or discuss the features you would like in your pool.

For another design example, our Lake Anna pool and spa project includes a negative edge, tanning ledge and pool cover. Lake Anna spans more than one county; we do not claim that example is in Spotsylvania County without a confirmed project address.

Plan the pool and backyard together

Whether your property is near the Courthouse, in Massaponax or elsewhere in the county, the first questions are about the actual site. Available space, access, grade, existing improvements and approvals influence what can be built. A neighborhood name alone cannot establish the conditions in your yard.

  • How you will use the water: Discuss swimming, seating, entry steps and whether a spa or tanning shelf fits your priorities.
  • Construction access: Consider gates, side yards, existing decks and a practical route for equipment and materials.
  • Grade and drainage: Review how the pool and patio meet the home and surrounding ground. Site-specific assessment should guide the plan.
  • Equipment and outdoor space: Allow for utility connections, maintenance access, seating and circulation around the pool.
  • Property constraints: Bring information about easements, wells, septic systems and HOA requirements where applicable.

Our custom pool design service develops a concept for review and refinement. The pool construction page explains how planning and construction fit together.

Spotsylvania permits, barriers and inspections

Review Spotsylvania County's residential permitting information and published pool and hot-tub guide before proceeding. The county's materials discuss pool plans, plot information, barriers, applicable trade work and inspections. Confirm the current application documents and requirements with the county for your address and proposed work.

Ask which approvals apply, who will obtain them and when inspections must occur. Identify these responsibilities in the project scope rather than assuming every contractor's proposal includes the same work. HOA approval, where applicable, is separate from government review.

Pool barriers and safety equipment need particular care. Do not assume that an automatic cover replaces a fence or other required protection. Any proposed cover-based arrangement must meet the applicable code, product requirements and local approval conditions. Confirm the approved barrier plan before construction and before filling the pool.

Compare pool estimates by scope

Compare more than the bottom-line price. Dimensions, depth, finishes, equipment, excavation access, decking, utility work, barriers and restoration can change the work included. A spa, water feature or retaining wall may add a separate design and construction consideration.

Ask each contractor to identify inclusions, exclusions and allowances, explain how changes will be handled, and discuss timing after reviewing the site and design. We do not publish one completion promise or starting price for every Spotsylvania property. If payment planning is part of your decision, see our pool financing information.

Spotsylvania pool builder questions

What type of swimming pools do you build?

We build custom concrete inground swimming pools. Layout, finishes and features are discussed around your property and preferences. This page does not claim that one construction material is the best choice for every homeowner.

Can you plan around a well or septic system?

These features need early attention. Bring your survey or plat and any available well-and-septic records. Confirm placement constraints and required approvals with the appropriate county and health authorities before finalizing the pool location.

How long will the project take?

Design decisions, approvals, weather, access and construction scope affect the schedule. Request a project-specific timetable after the site and proposed work have been reviewed.

Will a pool increase my property's value?

We do not promise an appraisal increase or a particular return on investment. Choose the pool around how you want to use your home, and consult a qualified local real estate or appraisal professional about property-value questions.

Can you improve an existing pool?

Yes. Visit our pool renovation service and tell us about the existing pool and the changes you are considering. Renovation requires a different assessment from a new installation.

Have your address, backyard photographs, survey or plat if available, HOA information and a short list of priorities ready. Share the features you want to explore and your planning timeframe.
